episode 5

This week I've been completely worthless on Livejournal. I won't be able to pump out my picspam before Freddie's ep 'CAUSE I HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED IT YET. So right now I'll just comment on some stuff I found interesting. I don't know why I always wait so long to do this stuff, I blame school. :/

I'm going to use caroolk3's gifs for the lulzy parts 'cause, once again, I'm completely worthless.

FIRST OF ALL:

Okay, then there was lots of Keffy. I'm gay, fangirling happens.


Alright so besides my blatant love for Keffy I really did like this episode. The Freffy scene in the park was gorgeous and generally most of the scenes were just beautifully shot. There were cranes of depression, Karen made Karen faces, Cook traveled back from the future, FREDDIE FELL OFF HIS BIKE...



Concerned Freddie is not really a favorite of mine but cute little happy Freds was adorbs. Effy on the other hand, that girl, I just don't know what to say. All of this was a long time coming and some people are put off by how fast everything happened in the episode but psychotic breaks JUST HAPPEN people. You can't plan for them, they sneak up on you. One day you're having french fries in the cafeteria with your mates and the next day you're in a field screaming about how little old ladies are coming for you. I really liked the "porn stash" scene and the party scene where Effy was hiding under the bed. Effy Stonem is fit and mysterious, just like always but I loved seeing her so vulnerable. I could have done without the attempted suicide but it's Skins and if you wanna have a psychotic break YOU HAVE TO END IT BIG.

I'm looking forward to JJ's episode tonight and I'm really looking forward to Effy's ep and the season finale. Effy's because I want to find out what's going on with the lovely little Stonem and because there will be Effy+Naomi friendship and I'm all about that. I know there's going to be a lot of Naomi in the season finale so I'm excited for that but I just don't want it to be over. Gen2 is ♥.

OMG that bike gif. I am just staring at it an it gets funnier every time he goes *bloop!* over the wall. LOLOL.

I'm really excited for Effy's ep too.. Naomi friendship and bonus Katie and Panda at the funny farm! Fingers crossed for a little more sweetness and light the rest of this season. Too much angst thus far..

I really hope the rest of the season perks back up, I think it probably will but you never know with Skins. Guhhh, all the gals going to visit Eff, that ep is going to be amazing. ♥

Haha, I'm so late to this post that it probably doesn't even matter, but I thought that what people really had a problem with wasn't how fast it happened, but rather that there didn't seem to be any sort of trigger for it. It was my understanding that psychotic breaks like the one that Effy had usually have some sort of trigger. Effy didn't seem to have one, though; unless I missed something...?

yea i suppose most psychotic breaks do have a trigger. i really can't pinpoint a certain event, i don't even think the writers wrote one in. :/
